What is included in my graduation ticket cost?
Included in your ticket are 2 complimentary guest tickets, testamur, drinks and canapes for you and your guests as well as the event itself. Tickets are booked via the link we have emailed to you. You and your guests will check-in at the registration desk on the day.
What if I don’t have 2 guests to bring, do I still have to pay the full price of $150?
Yes, the tickets are at the set cost.
What if I have more than 2 guests?
Extra tickets beyond the 2 provided guest tickets can be purchased for $50 per guest on the website. There is a limit of 3 extra tickets per graduate.
I am a remote student, where will I be attending?
Students based in the following states are invited to attend the below:
Canberra & Western Australia based graduates are invited to Sydney.
South Australia and Tasmania based graduates are invited to Melbourne.
Northen Territory based graduates are invited to Brisbane.
What if I want to attend a different campus location?
Please email ALG support@alg.edu.au or Ikon Institute experience@ikon.edu.au with your requested state location BEFORE you purchase a ticket.
How do I register for this graduation?
You can register via the following link: EDU University - Graduation Day Photography Services
Enter all your registration details. Following this you will receive a confirmation email where you will find information on how to make a payment via bank transfer or a credit card.
What is the deadline for registration?
The RSVP will close on 5:00pm, Friday 13th June. Make sure you book your tickets before this date.
I’m unable to attend this graduation when will the next one be?
If you are unable to attend this upcoming graduation we will communicate later in 2025 when our next planned graduation is planned.
What happens if I am late?
You will not be able to walk across stage and collect your certificate. However, you will be able to join in festivities.
Can I bring my kids?
Yes, Children 5 years old and younger can attend free of charge and children over 6 years old will be considered as one of the guests.
What if my guests and I will be arriving at different times?
Your guests will simply need to quote your student number at the registration table, and we will check them in.
My guest numbers have changed, what should I do?
As long as the total number of guests does not increase there is no need to update your registration. If you’re unsure, please email ALG support@alg.edu.au or Ikon Institute experience@ikon.edu.au
What do I need to wear on the day?
The dress code is smart casual. It is recommended for males to wear a button up shirt as this will help with your graduation gown and females to wear comfortable shoes as you will be walking up on stage. Keep in mind you want to look spectacular in any graduation photos!
I’d like to keep the gown for longer to take photos, can I do that?
Yes, you can keep your gown on to take photos. Due to time constraints, your gown will need to be returned at the end of the ceremony and cannot be taken outside the premises.
Will there be a photographer?
A professional photographer will take event photography on the day at no extra cost. You will receive a download link by email within five weeks after your ceremony. If you don’t want your photo taken, please let us know by emailing with your student number. Your family members are welcome to take photos at the completion of the ceremony.
Will there be a live broadcast?
Your friends and family will be able to watch a live broadcast of the ceremony. The link will be available a week before the ceremony.
Where do I sit?
You will be allocated a seat with all the other graduands on the day, your seat will have a sticker on it with your name. This is so your name is called up in the right order during the procession. Our staff will be available on the day to guide you to your seat.
Can I sit with my family/can my family sit with me?
Unfortunately, no. All graduands must sit together according to the seating arrangement. Your guests will have a section for where they can be seated.
Can I make a speech at the graduation?
Unfortunately, not, we have a set schedule of speakers for the event already.
Will there be food?
Yes, there will be canapes and beverages available for graduates and their guests after the ceremony.
I have a dietary requirement, who can I tell?
Please email with your student number and your requirements/allergies etc. We will aim to provide a range of food that suits the majority of dietary requirements.
If I have already collected my testamur, what am I getting on the day?
Students will be receiving their testamur on the day. If you have already received yours previously, on the day you will be presented with a copy of a certificate that will photograph similarly to your peers. However, it will not be your specific testamur.

How do I make a payment?

I need a tax invoice for the graduation fee, how can I get one?
Please email ALG support@alg.edu.au or Ikon Institute experience@ikon.edu.au with your student ID. Tax invoices are not emailed to students unless requested.
If I paid for my graduation, but I can no longer attend – will I get a refund or credit?
It’s a no refund or credit policy.
My additional guest can no longer attend the graduation – can I get a refund?
As we have already catered for all the guests at the venue you will not be refunded for your guest who can no longer attend. Our suggestion is to bring another friend or family member to join you on your special day.
