Can I work while studying?

According to the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs, as of 1 July 2023, student visa holders are permitted to work up to 48 hours per fortnight during their study period. However, there are no work restrictions when their course is not in session. This policy is designed to allow students to concentrate on their education and obtain valuable qualifications, while still gaining relevant work experience and contributing to Australia’s workforce needs.
