We know your timetable is important for planning your study, work, and personal commitments. If you would prefer a different class time, you can swap into another available class through the timetable from Trimester 3, 2026.
Swapping classes is the quickest and easiest way to change your class allocation. No approval is required — simply check the timetable for available classes and swap yourself. You can swap classes as often as you like from the timetable release date until the end of Week 2.
In the Timetable Hub, click on the "Change your timetable" link under Change your Timetable section.
Here you can:
- Change your class allocation yourself with no timetable change request required.
- View class availability: See which classes have available places before making a change.
- Join a waitlist. If a class is full, join the waitlist and be enrolled if a place becomes available.
Example: Understanding Your Enrolment View
The example below shows a student’s current enrolment.
- Select the class from the left-hand side of the screen.
- Registration will show all available classes for that subject offering.
- In this example, the student is currently registered into Class 2, but can swap into Class 1 or Class 4.
- Class 5 display a conflict. This means the time scheduled for these classes clashes with a class you are already allocated to other units. This cannot be overridden.
How do you swap into another class?
In this example, we’re going to swap into Class 2.
- Find Class 2 in the timetable list.
- Click the Swap button next to the class.
- Review the class details to make sure you’re selecting the correct class.
- Confirm your selection by clicking the Swap button again.
That’s it! You’ll be instantly moved into Class 2, and your timetable will be updated. You will see that the Swap button replaced with a green Registered button.
When you can’t swap into a class
You won’t be able to swap into a class if:
- The class you want to swap into is full.
- The class time conflicts with another class you are already registered in.
If there is a timetable clash, Conflict will be displayed in red, and the Swap button will be disabled.
You cannot select that class unless the timetable conflict is resolved.
