This page explains what is included in your Microsoft 365 student access and how to use your student email to access Microsoft apps online.
1. What is included in my Microsoft 365 access?
As a current student, you have free access to the online versions of:
- Outlook (email)
- Word
- Excel
- PowerPoint
- OneDrive
2. How do I access Microsoft 365?
- Go to student.edu.com.au
- Log in using your student email address (StudentIDNumber@student.ikon.edu.au) and password
- Scroll down and select the Microsoft app you wish to use
Common issues and quick fixes
Word document formatting changes after download
If your document looks different after downloading, it may be opening in the wrong application (such as Google Docs or Apple Pages).

3. Can I install Microsoft 365 on my own device?
No. Microsoft 365 access for students is online only and does not include downloadable desktop applications.
Tip: Always open your Word documents from OneDrive to keep formatting consistent. If you download a file, upload it back to OneDrive before opening.
