Before You Pay Your Fees

Student Experience Team Student Experience Team

Before paying your tuition fees, it’s important to know when they’re due, how much to pay, and what happens if payment is late. Fee schedules and payment methods differ for domestic and international students. This guide outlines how fees are set, when they’re payable, and where to find the official fee schedule—so you can plan ahead, stay on track with payments, and meet Ikon’s Enrolment and Fees and Refunds Policy requirements.

Fee Schedules and Amounts

Tuition and non-tuition fees are set each year and published in the Schedule of Fees on the Ikon website.
You’ll find details of:

  • Tuition and non-tuition fees (e.g., graduation, RPL, remarking)
  • Annual fee adjustments finalised by 30 September for the following academic year
  • The fee amount that applies to your course and study load

When to Pay

International Students

  • Commencing students must pay the Enrolment Fee and Initial Tuition Payment before their Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) is issued.
  • Continuing students must pay tuition fees according to their Pay-by-Month or Pay-by-Trimester schedule.
  • Late or unpaid fees can result in restricted access to the Learner App or Canvas, withheld results, or cancellation of enrolment.
  • Ongoing non-payment may be reported to the Department of Home Affairs through PRISMS.

Domestic Students

  • Fees are due by the census date each trimester.
  • Students using FEE-HELP must have their request submitted and approved before census.
  • Students paying upfront must ensure full payment is received by the due date to maintain enrolment.

Late or Unpaid Fees

If payment is not received by the due date:

  • Access to learning systems may be restricted
  • Results or transcripts may be withheld
  • You may not be able to enrol in future trimesters or graduate
  • Persistent non-payment could lead to enrolment termination and be reported to authorities (for international students)
