Your student email is your official communication channel during your studies at Ikon. This guide explains how to access your email, activate your account, and manage your settings including mobile setup and email forwarding.
1. What is my student email address?
Your student email address is StudentIDNumber@student.ikon.edu.au
This email address is issued to you as part of your enrolment.
2. How do I access my student email?
You can access your student email through the Student Portal:
- Go to student.edu.com.au
- Log in using your student email address and password
- Scroll down and select the Microsoft Outlook tile
Your inbox will open in Outlook.
Access your email directly
You can also access your email directly via a web browser:
- Go to: https://outlook.office.com
- Log in using your student email and password
Set up your email on your phone
You can access your student email on your mobile device using the Outlook app.

Optional — Forward emails to your personal inbox
If you prefer, you can receive your student emails in your personal email:

Note: Your student email remains the official communication channel.
3. What are my login details?
- Username: Your student email address (StudentIDNumber@student.ikon.edu.au)
- Password: A temporary password sent to your personal email address
The email will have the subject line - “Welcome to your Ikon Student Portal”
Once you log in for the first time, you will be prompted to create a new password.
4. I didn’t receive my welcome email
Please check your junk or spam folder.
If you still cannot find the email, you can reset your password by going to outlook.office.com and selecting Forgot my password.
5. What do I use my student email for?
Your student email is used for:
- Official communication from Ikon Institute of Australia
- Contacting the Student Experience team
- Verifying your identity for privacy and security
You are expected to check your student email regularly, including during trimester breaks.
