If a student is unable to undertake or complete an assessment due to compassionate, compelling, or extenuating circumstances beyond their control, they may be eligible to apply for special consideration, provided they submit supporting evidence. We recommend reviewing Ikon's Assessment Policy to familiarise yourself with the relevant processes and requirements.
To proceed, please complete the online Special Consideration Submission form. Once you submit your application, please allow 2 business days for assessment.
Here are some important points to keep in mind:
- Applications must be submitted on or before the assessment due date.
- Special consideration can only be granted once per assessment.
- Your application must clearly demonstrate that it meets the eligibility criteria outlined in the Assessment Policy.
- All applications must be submitted with supporting documents. For your convenience, here are links to the types of evidence we accept:
- Incomplete applications will be declined.
Should your difficulties be ongoing, applying for a Reasonable Adjustment may be more appropriate. You can read more about this policy here: Reasonable Adjustment Policy.
To apply for Reasonable Adjustment, please complete the online Application for Reasonable Adjustment Form.
