Academic progress refers to your ongoing achievement in meeting the course requirements of your program. Ikon monitors your results and engagement each study period to make sure you’re on track to complete your qualification successfully. To maintain satisfactory academic progress, you must achieve a passing mark of 50% or higher in each subject, pass at least 50% of your enrolled subjects each study period, and complete each subject within three attempts.
Overview
Academic progress means making steady progress through your course. It ensures that you are developing the knowledge, skills, and professional competencies expected at your level of study.
Ikon checks student results, participation, and attendance throughout each study period to identify anyone who may need extra support early.
Important notes
- You must pass 50% or more of your subjects each study period.
- Each subject must be passed within three attempts.
- Students who do not meet these thresholds may be identified as “at risk” and offered support through an Academic Improvement Plan.
- Continued unsatisfactory progress over two consecutive study periods may lead to enrolment cancellation, with appeal rights available. Students will be notified formally via an Intention to Report/Cancel email.
