What kind of evidence is required for Recognition of Prior Learning?

To support your application for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), you will need to provide the following evidence:

1. Certified Copy of Academic Transcripts: Include transcripts, qualifications, or testamurs from a higher education provider or registered training organisation (RTO) completed within the last 10 years.
2. Certified Copy of Professional Certificates: Provide certificates from a professional body, enterprise, or similar organisation, also completed within the last 10 years.
3. Current Resume or CV: This should include details of your professional experience and the contact information of up to two current referees.
4. Subject Outlines: Copies of subject outlines that detail learning outcomes, weekly structure, topic lists, and assessment criteria.
5. Completed Assessments: Provide copies of completed and marked assessments relevant to the field of arts therapy.
6. Digital Evidence of Engagement: Include documentation demonstrating your involvement in teaching, delivering learning opportunities to children, or engaging with families and the community.

Ikon will accept photocopies certified by individuals who hold the following positions:

• Justice of the Peace
• CA or CPA Accountant
• Bank or Credit Union Manager
• Barrister, Solicitor, or Attorney
• Currently Licensed or Registered Medical or Allied Health Practitioner
• Police Officer (rank of Sergeant or above)
• Postal Manager
• Pharmacist
• Principal of an Australian Secondary College, High School, or Primary School
• Full-Time Teacher at a School or Tertiary Education Institution

Additionally, certification is acceptable from anyone listed under the Commonwealth of Australia Statutory Declarations Act 1959.
