These behaviours violate the Academic Integrity & Misconduct Policy and may result in penalties. Common Examples of Academic Misconduct

Plagiarism
Using someone else’s ideas, words or data without proper referencing, including AI-generated content.

Collusion
Working with others on tasks meant to be completed individually, or sharing answers.

Contract Cheating / Impersonation
Getting someone else—or an AI tool—to complete your work and submitting it as your own.

Fabrication or Falsification
Inventing or altering data, quotes, research findings, or references.

Exam or Assessment Cheating
Using unauthorised notes, devices, or communication in exams or timed assessments.

Recycling Previous Work
Re-submitting your own work from another subject or trimester without permission.
